Angelene Cronin (MHS)
As a seasoned high school soccer player, Angelene will be working to highlight how athletes often have mental health challenges that go unnoticed and escalate if not addressed. She will be working with various teammates in ways to get them thinking about mental health; breaking the stigma that surrounds it generally – specifically in sports – while creating a safe and supportive experience for participants.
Sofia Kioko (MHS)
Sofia's fellowship summer project focuses on finding positivity in hard times; building courage and asking for support when needed. She will be creating decorative boxes that contain calming objects and supportive and affirming messages that will be distributed to young children at local schools, local hospitals, etc.

Xael Leon (NHS)
Xael is taking on a very special and personal project this summer as she will be creating a portrait of Jared that will be displayed in Nutley and Montclair. She wants more people to know about Jared and the amazing young man he was, and to help destigmatize mental health issues by creating artwork that will get people to stop and pay attention.
Alex Sanchez and Liam Timbie (BHS)
Alex and Liam's project will focus on providing young students and parents with resources and educational materials about the importance of communication and sharing one's emotions while practicing positive mental health habits.

Sam Wodnick (MHS)
Sam's project will focus on sharing accurate, accessible and local mental health resources. Working with his licensed therapist mentor, he will create a webinar for parents and youth containing information he curates during his summer fellowship with Jared's Fund.
