Who We Fund
This Fellowship is intended for any current Sophomore, Junior or Senior at Montclair High or recent Montclair alumni (from the past four years) in our community who is committed to challenging mental illness stigma and wants to increase their knowledge and skills.
The Fellowship does not expect or require specialized expertise or academic background in mental health but instead is intended to cast a wide net for committed young adults who wish to make a difference. Academic performance is not a strong factor in our decision-making process.
Jared’s Fund actively seeks young people of all races, ethnicities, and gender identities to participate, noting that it is particularly important to support communities who don’t have adequate access to resources and help. People with personal or lived experience with mental health issues are especially encouraged to apply.
